Yanchang Oil Administration Selects CCR Platforming Process

DES PLAINES, Ill.--June 30, 2004--UOP LLC has announced that the Yanchang Oil Administration Bureau, Yanchuan, Shannxi Province, China, has licensed CCR Platforming(TM) technology at its Yongping Refinery for the production of high octane reformate, an ultra-clean gasoline blending component.

CCR Platforming technology is the premier reforming process used in more than 180 units world-wide for the production of high octane gasoline. The basic engineering work for the 800 KMTA (equivalent to 20,000BPD) reforming unit, located in Shaanxi Province, China, started in 2004.

Yanchang Oil Administration Bureau is one of the major oil producers in China.
