CANNEY MOTORSPORTS RETURNS TO AGT FOR LIME ROCK EVENT

CANNEY MOTORSPORTS RETURNS TO AGT FOR LIME ROCK EVENT

Reston, VA — Mike Canney Motorsports confirms that it will compete in the American GT Challenge race at Lime Rock Park this weekend. The #76 Intelligence Data Systems Corvette last competed with the American GT Challenge at their inaugural race in South Carolina in April, running strong in 3rd before a broken driveshaft ended their race in the closing minutes.

"We are pleased to be racing again with the American GT Challenge," Canney stated. "They have created an excellent series for American sports cars, racing wheel-to-wheel in V8 powered cars which thunder the ground on the top road courses in North America" continued Mike Canney, driver of the #76 Intelligence Data Systems’ Corvette.

Canney is looking forward to making another appearance at Lime Rock Park. "It is exciting to put the #76 Corvette on a great track like Lime Rock, and we are looking forward to an excellent race. We learned a lot at our first trip to Lime Rock last month for an SCCA National, and will be putting that to work to improve on our 6th place finish last month, hopefully with a top 5 finish this weekend in the AGT event," Canney replied.

Acknowledging the depth of the competition he will race against, Canney said, "But, there are a lot more cars, and some very stiff competition, so we will have our work cut out for us. We welcome fans to stop by in the paddock, and definitely to cheer us on during the race!"

The #76 Corvette is sponsored by Intelligence Data Systems, www.intelligence-data.com, and just like the Corvette’s on-track acceleration, is one of the fastest growing firms in America! They are based outside of Washington, DC where the firm specializes in building large scale supercomputers for the exploitation of satellite imagery and to process massive amounts of text information for the US government.
