SLIPCLUTCH RACING TO COMPETE IN AGT WITH OLDS CUTLASS
Wilton, CT- Slipclutch Racing today announced the team's intentions to participate in the American GT Challenge series for 2004. Driver Bill Rozmajzl will compete in the number 9 Olds Cutlass, with V6 power. Rozmajzl is a veteran driving school instructor and will bring those skills to the AGT.
Rozmajzl has spent the early part of the season competing in SCCA GT1 events, where he has earned a second place at Lime Rock Park, the AGT's next track to visit. "I am looking forward to running in the AGT event," said Rozmajzl. "I think with the diverse field of cars, the event should prove to be exciting."
"We are pleased to have Bill joins us at Lime Rock," said Todd Benne, Director of Operations for the American GT Challenge series. "With Bill's success as a GT1 driver, I believe he will be a true asset to AGT. His track record at Lime Rock proves he can run up front amongst some of the same competitors running at Lime Rock in the AGT event."
Razmajzl, a former motorcycle racer, looks to add to the number 9 Cutlass' success. The car is a former two time Kelly American Car Champion and has many Trans-Am starts in the 80's and 90's. The Cutlass has undergone an intensive rebuild prior to the 2004 season.
The American GT Challenge uses purpose built tube frame chassis cars, power by a V-8 & V-6 engine, with composite bodies, replicating series produced American touring or grand touring cars competing exclusively on Goodyear Racing Tires. For more information visit www.americangt.com.
The American GT Challenge’s next stop is at Lime Rock Park in Danbury, CT. July 2-3rd, in participation with the American LeMans Series.
