TRANS-AM IRON MAN BORIS SAID READY TO DO THE TRIPLE AT INFINEON RACEWAY

SONOMA, Calif. (June 25, 2004) ‹ 2002 Motorock Trans-Am Series champion
Boris Said will drive more than 700 racing miles during his driving duties
this weekend at Infineon Raceway. Said, driver of the No. 33 Applied
Computer Solutions/GE Access Ford Mustang in the Trans-Am Series, is racing
in all three scheduled major events‹Saturdayıs NASCAR Autozone Southwest
Tour event; as well as the Nextel Cup Series and Trans-Am Series events on
Sunday.

Said started his weekend on a high note, winning the pole for the Southwest
Tour event before qualifying 19th for Sundayıs Nextel Cup race.

³I have run several races in one weekend and have had good results,² said
Said, who finished third in the Trans-Am season opener at Long Beach and
returns to Trans-Am competition after a one-race hiatus. ³The real challenge
for this weekend will be changing from car to car for every hot session on
the track. Each of the cars is very different. Itıs just like having three
different girlfriends. They all have special needs and you have to be
responsive to each.

³Each of the teams are very experienced,² added Said, ³and that will help
immensely.

³This will be a tough weekend, though,² concluded Said, who finished second
in last yearıs Trans-Am race here. ³I ran the 24 Hours of Nurburgring in
Germany a couple weeks ago and this weekend will be tougher than that.²

2003 Trans-Am Series Driversı Champion Scott Pruett will join Said in the
Nextel Cup race Sunday, starting sixth. Pruett, who won the Trans-Am race
here last year in the No. 7 Jaguar R Performance XKR, will compete in this
weekendıs Nextel Cup race in a Dodge Intrepid R/T fielded by Chip Ganassi
Racing. Robby Gordon, who won in his sole Trans-Am start in 1992 at Long
Beach in a Roush Racing Ford Mustang, will roll off 24th in Sundayıs NASCAR
run.

The Motorock Trans-Am Series kicks off its weekendıs festivities tomorrow
with a half-hour practice session, scheduled for 8 a.m. The Trans-Am cars
will again hit the track at 10:25 a.m. for second-round practice, followed
by qualifying at 3:30 p.m.

This yearıs Infineon race in Californiaıs wine country will mark the third
round of the 2004 Trans-Am season. The Trans-Am 100, part of Infineon
Racewayıs NASCAR weekend, is scheduled to start at approximately 4:15 p.m.
on Sunday, June 27, immediately following the Nextel Cup Series race.

The Motorock Trans-Am Series features closed-fendered, production-based,
V-8-powered sports cars, competing on permanent road courses, and temporary
street and airport circuits throughout North America. The Trans-Am Series is
Americaıs oldest continuously running road racing series and celebrates its
39th year of competition in 2004.
