General Motors Dealer Named "Business Person Of The Year"

Robert Menzies Honored By The Black Chamber Of Commerce Of Orange County

Anaheim, Calif. June 21, 2004; Robert Menzies, owner of Westminster Pontiac, GMC, Buick, Inc., has been named "Business Person of the Year." Menzies received the prestigious honor from the Black Chamber of Commerce of Orange County during the chamber's 13th Annual Awards Banquet on Saturday, June 19, 2004 in Anaheim.

The Black Chamber of Commerce of Orange County annually recognizes community and business leaders who have provided great leadership and paved the way for others in the community. "Our goal as a multi-cultural, cross-cultural and diversified organization is to improve the quality of life for everyone in the community," said Bobby McDonald, president and executive director. "Bob Menzies continually exemplifies our goals and we are delighted to honor him with the "Business Person of the Year Award."

Menzies acquired his first General Motors dealership in 1991 in Des Moines, Iowa. In 1997, he became dealer at Westminster, which has been featured by Black Enterprise Magazine as one of the largest African-American businesses in the U.S. Menzies is active in several local organizations and serves on the board of directors of 100 Black Men of Orange County.
