Motorcycle Legend `Kaptain' Robbie Knievel to Jump `Above the Law' at Warnock Dodge Chrysler Jeep
EAST HANOVER, N.J.--June 21, 2004--Motorcycle daredevil "Kaptain" Robbie Knievel will attempt to clear 25 police cars in a jump at 7:00pm on Thursday, June 24 at Warnock Dodge Chrysler Jeep. The "Above the Law" promotion begins with an autograph session for fans on Monday, June 21 from 7:00pm to 8:30pm and culminates with Thursday's jump. Both events - which are free and open to the public - will take place at Warnock Dodge Chrysler Jeep, located at 175 Route 10 in East Hanover.Robbie Knievel, the son of Evel Knievel, has completed more than 250 jumps in 33 years of daredevil riding. "The Kaptain" is best known for his live television performances including the Building-to-Building Jump in Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon Jump, and has thrilled millions of fans around the world.
"This is the first time we've hosted an event of this magnitude at the dealership," said Robert Warnock, co-owner of the Warnock Automotive Group. "The Knievel family has a long history of spectacular feats. We're pleased to bring entertainment of this caliber to East Hanover."
WPLJ-FM radio personality Todd Pettengill and Executive Producer Monkey Boy, both of the Big Show with Scott and Todd, will serve as Masters of Ceremonies for the jump and will also give away prizes, host live call-ins to the station and meet and greet customers during the event.
Similar jumps by Knievel have each drawn more than 10,000 fans.
