ARCA Truck Rookie Brett Rowe Takes Terre Haute
 

TERRE HAUTE IN (6-18-04)  ARCA Lincoln Welders Truck Series rookie Brett Rowe won the Wabash Valley Harley Davidson 100 Friday night at the Terre Haute Action Track. It was Rowe's second victory in only his third series attempt.

 

An all Rowe front row led to a one-two finish from the Rowe brothers when Brett, in an unsponsored Chevy S-10, cruised beneath the checkered flag ahead of his older brother Brian Rowe, who finished second in the Pate Manufacturing Chevrolet.

 

Danny Basham, in the Strutter Signs-Mac Tools Chevrolet, finished a career-best third over Brad Yunker, who steered his own Champion Credit Union-Laborers Local 574 Ford Ranger to the finish in fourth. Yunker, who started 16th, earned the Ed & Company Hard Charger award for the second consecutive week. Former series champion Bill Withers completed the top-five finishers in the Mannings USA-Hall Electronics Ford.

 

Kevin Reeb, Tully Esterline, Chad Guinn, Rick Knowles and Duane Bischoff completed the top-ten finishers consecutively.

 

In addition to Rowe's winner's purse, the Barboursville, West Virginia driver picked up the Cloyes Gear Halfway Lap Leader award, and was credited with the Highest Finishing Rookie honors.

 

Troy Marciniak, subbing for a late-arriving Esterline, won the Pork Pole award.

 

Next action for the ARCA Lincoln Welders Truck Series will be the Flat Rock ARCA 100 at Flat Rock Speedway Saturday night, June 26.
