LARRY MORGAN IS NO. 6 IN FIRST PRO STOCK QUALIFYING ROUNDS UNDER SCHUMACHER RACING BANNER

NHRA POWERade DRAG RACING SERIES
Round 11 of 23
K&N FILTERS SUPERNATIONALS
OLD BRIDGE TOWNSHIP RACEWAY PARK
ENGLISHTOWN, N.J.
Race Dates: June 18-20, 2004

ENGLISHTOWN, N.J. (June 19, 2004) - Larry Morgan qualified his Mopar Dodge
Stratus No. 6 (6.806/202.36) in the Pro Stock class for tomorrow's K&N
Filters Supernationals. This marks the first four rounds of qualifying
Morgan has completed under the banner of Don Schumacher Racing.

"We're really proud that we got through this week," said Morgan of the
activities surrounding the acquisition by Don Schumacher Racing of Morgan's
Pro Stock racing assets, "because of the many things that happened this week
that are really positive for all of us.

"To come here and qualify the car, and qualify it in sixth, we feel we did
really well. In the last run today (6.835/202.12) we tried something that we
probably shouldn't have. We thought it was going to be real bad out there,
it ended up we had cloud cover and the track was good. We didn't run as fast
as we wanted to. It was something Bob (Glidden, crew chief) wanted to try,
so we tried it. We'll be fine tomorrow.

"We're really proud to be a part of the Don Schumacher Racing program and we
look to win a lot of races from now on."

Morgan faces Ron Krisher in first round of eliminations on Sunday.
