7-Eleven, Inc. Appoints Six New Vice Presidents

DALLAS, June 18 -- 7-Eleven, Inc. today announced six new vice presidents in the areas of merchandising, operations, logistics, legal and fresh foods.

"The six appointments serve to acknowledge and commend these individuals for demonstrating a high level of expertise and excellence on behalf of this organization," said Jim Keyes, 7-Eleven president and CEO.

Keyes said 7-Eleven's board of directors appointed two senior managers as vice presidents and officers of the corporation. Appointments include:

Mike Blair has been named vice president of the Mid-Pacific division, responsible for approximately 700 franchised and corporate stores in Northern California, Nevada and Arizona. Blair, 46, of Henderson, Nev., joined 7-Eleven in 1983 as a management trainee and has held a number of operations positions, including district manager and market manager. In 1997, he was promoted to division merchandising manager and in 2001 he was named category manager in 7-Eleven's corporate merchandising department. He served as product director for vault products before being named Mid-Pacific division manager in 2003.

Bob Cozens is vice president of 7-Eleven's Northeast division. He is responsible for 800 franchised and corporate stores in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware. Before his appointment as Northeast division manager in 2003, Bob was sales and merchandising manager for the division. In this role, he directed all field merchandising activities including planning, development, implementation and verification. Cozens, 52, is a 26-year veteran of 7-Eleven and resides in Wall, N.J. He joined the company as a field consultant trainee in 1977. Since then, he has served in roles of increasing responsibility in the Northeast division.

In addition to the Board appointments, Keyes named four senior managers as non-officer vice presidents:

Joanne DeLorenzo is vice president of fresh foods and the company's proprietary beverage category. Last year, DeLorenzo, 45, of Dallas, left her role as sales and merchandising manager in Southern California to join the senior management team as managing director of merchandising. She started her career with 7-Eleven in 1992 as a field consultant and advanced into roles of increasing responsibility as a merchandiser and market manager. Before joining the company, DeLorenzo held various operations and buying positions in the grocery and department store industry.

Kevin Elliott is vice president of merchandising for the non-foods, processed foods, vault and services categories. Elliott joined 7-Eleven in 2001 as director of logistics. He also served the company in product development and wholesale operations roles. Elliott, 38, of Frisco, Texas, held the positions of managing director of wholesale operations and managing director of merchandising before accepting his current role. His background includes executive positions at The Webvan Group as vice president of supply chain and procurement, and as director of category management at Fleming Companies Inc.

Dave Fenton has been named vice president and assistant general counsel in 7-Eleven's legal department. He is responsible for the company's public financial reports (Forms 10-Q and 10-K), the proxy statement for the company's annual meeting of shareholders, and other filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Fenton, 42, of Dallas, also handles compliance issues with the New York Stock Exchange and other corporate governance-related matters. He joined the company as an attorney in 1989. During his tenure, Fenton has held the positions of senior attorney (1994-1997), national human resources manager (1997-1998), director of human resources (1998-2000), senior counsel (2000-2002) and associate general counsel (2002-2004).

He is responsible for the implementation of 7-Eleven's managed distribution process, which encompasses delivery of all products to stores in the United States and Canada, including fresh-daily delivery, wholesale (McLane and Wallace & Carey) and direct-store-delivery. A resident of Richardson, Texas, Osborn started his career at 7-Eleven in 1999 as director of logistics.
