Grand Prix of Denver to Host Meet-the-Driver Event

Driver Danica Patrick Visits Denver, June 21

DENVER, June 18 -- Today, The CENTRIX Financial Grand Prix of Denver announced that driver Danica Patrick is visiting Denver for a meet-the-driver event happening from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm on Monday, June 21 at the Fox and Hound Tavern near Park Meadows. Patrick will come to Denver after racing in the Grand Prix of Portland to help promote Denver's Grand Prix weekend.

Danica Patrick will race in the Toyota Atlantics series during the Grand Prix of Denver weekend of August 13 through August 15. Atlantics practice, qualifying and racing will occur on all three days of race weekend.

As a Toyota Atlantics driver, Danica Patrick is the first woman to record a podium finish in a CART Sanctioned Open Wheel race. Based in Ohio, Patrick is an open wheel driver for world-renowned Team Rahal racing operation. In the 2000 England Formula Ford Festival, she finished second, the highest placing American driver in the event's history.
