School  Bus Racing Encore Postponed Until Sunday at SSP 
NEWBERRYTOWN, PA (June 17,  2004) – Thursday  night, June 17’s racing 
program at the Susquehanna Speedway Park has been postponed  due to rain until 
Sunday, June 20.  School Bus Racing returns to the Susquehanna Speedway Park with 
the encore  performance of The Great American School Bus Race on Father’s 
Appreciation  Day.  SSP will also host its  exciting weekly divisions of 410 Sprint 
Cars and Xtreme Enduro Stock Cars.  With 16 entries for The Great American  
School Bus Race last Sunday. more entries have been received for this  event.  
The laps for the bus feature  have also been increased from 12 to 15 laps.  
Also back by popular demand as week, the fans will be able  to receive 
complimentary school bus rides around the track from 5:45  p.m. to 6:15  p.m.  Fans are 
encouraged to arrive early and  have some fun at SSP. 
Last Sunday also saw the first career 410 Sprint Car  win for Brian Leppo of 
Spring Grove.  Charlie Pennsinger of Shippensburg won the Xtreme Enduro Stock 
Car field  and J.R. Rodriguez topped the 15 other School Buses.  The top four 
from Sunday’s bus feature  will start at the tail of Sunday’s event.     
After the qualifying  events, there will be a surprise “Racing Fans Direct” 
fan participation contest  for prizes with fathers and their children.  Last 
Sunday, Angie Klinedinst from  Spring Grove and her partner won two Speedweek 
tickets by winning the hilarious  water balloon toss. 
SSP has also  introduced its Repeat Fan Discount in which there will be a 
$2.00 discount for  each person with a ticket stub from the prior week’s event 
only.  For example, $2.00 off an Adult ticket  for June 17 with and Adult ticket 
stub from the June 12 event.  This program will not be in effect for  the 
July 1 PA Speedweek Special, since advance tickets for this event are now  
available.      
Gates open in  the pit area at 4:00  p.m. with the grandstand  gates opening 
at 5:00  p.m.  Warmups begin  at 6:30  p.m. with racing action  beginning at 
7:30  p.m.  Race fans can  expect a fast paced 2 ½ hour program each and every 
night (and as coined by a  local reporter "Done by 10.").  Grandstand ticket 
prices are Adults (18  & older) $12.00; Teens (13-17) $8.00; Children (6-12) 
$4.00; and Children (5  & under) are free.  Pit pass prices have been reduced to 
$20.00 with a  reduced price of $18.00 for all track license holders.  A 
track license is  $25.00 for the year.   The raindate will be Sunday, June 12 for 
the  event.  The rain date will be  Sunday, June 20. 
The Susquehanna Speedway Park is located off I-83 to exit 32,  then 1.4 miles 
NW on SR382 to York  Road, then 1.3 miles south.  For  more information,

Time is a  factor!  All cars must report to the  grid area on time for their 
races.  Late arrivals may not be permitted on the track.  Please be early!

SSP  News and Notes: 
-          SSP will host the first  Demolition Derby of the year paying 
$1,000-to-win on Thursday, June  24.  Entry forms can be picked  up at the ticket 
gate on the Thursday night or by calling the speedway offices  at (717) 
292-1696 or visit online at ww.sspracing.net.  There is a reduced rate for  
pre-entries.  Entries will also be  accepted at the pit gate on the day of the event. 
-          SSP will be selling advance  tickets for the Thursday, July 1 PA 
Speedweeks event at the track  on race nights.  Advance prices will  be Adults 
($18); Teens ($8); Children 6-12 ($3).  Day of event prices will be Adults  
($20); Teens ($10); and Children 6-12 ($5).  Fans are encouraged to buy their 
tickets  in advance to avoid lines and save money. 
-          At the end of the race night on  July 1 (PA Speedweeks), there 
will be a $1,000-to-win 410 Sprint Car  Wheelie Contest presented by the Beer 
Hill Gang.  Drivers will get 3 laps to put on “their  best show.”  The winner 
will be  chosen by the fans!
