KANAAN MAKES FINAL ADJUSTMENTS ON TEAM 7-ELEVEN MACHINE AT TEXAS

       FT. WORTH, Texas (June 11, 2004) - Tony Kanaan came about as close to
winning as a driver can in last year's Bombardier 500 at Texas Motor Speedway,
finishing second to Al Unser Jr. by .081 of a second. Tomorrow night, Kanaan is hoping
to finish the job.
       Kanaan, who qualified the #11 Team 7-Eleven Dallara/Honda/Firestone in the
third position last night, made his final preparations on Friday during a pair of practice
sessions. Kanaan logged a total of 48 laps in the final 30 minute session on Friday and
clocked in third quick at 210.209 miles per hour.
       The final session was led by Sam Hornish Jr., who charted a speed of 211.331
miles per hour. He was followed by XM Satellite Radio driver Bryan Herta at 210.317
miles per hour and then Kanaan.
       Tomorrow night's 200-lap race is slated to go green just after 8 p.m. (EDT) and
airs live on ESPN.


Tony Kanaan, #11 Team 7-Eleven Dallara/Honda/Firestone:
       "You never know what is going to happen the day before the race, but I feel like
we have a good car and that's all we can do. We just need to be consistent and that's
what we've been working on with the Team 7-Eleven car. We'll just have to see how the
conditions play out tomorrow night, but I'm happy with the car I have right now."

Kim Green, President, Andretti Green Racing:
       "When it comes to Texas, you're always trying to guess what people are really
capable of heading into the race and that's really difficult when your final practice is
more than 24 hours before the race. But, I think the Team 7-Eleven car is pretty good.
We needed both a good qualifying car and good race car this weekend. We came pretty
close to what we needed last night and I think we're again pretty close to the right car
for tomorrow, as well."
