SMNC Sponsors Nationwide Fundraising Trek; National Geographic Will Film Joe Nolfo's Cycle Adventure
CLEARWATER, Fla.--June 10, 2004--Summit National Consolidation Group, Inc. (Pink Sheets:SMNC) has teamed with Joe Nolfo on a 15,500 mile round-trip trek around the perimeter of the continental USA.National Geographic will accompany Nolfo as he travels for three months around the country by motorcycle with planned media events and press coverage in major cities to promote the Associated Humane Society and Nolfo's sponsors. SMNC has agreed to stage and promote the media events with SMNC models, product giveaways, photo opportunities, press materials, and charitable donations from product sales.
In addition to National Geographic, SMNC has received coverage commitments from thirty-three newspapers as well as various television inquiries. FOX NEWS 13 Tampa will report from the start of the tour July 3rd in Daytona Beach, Florida.
Since losing a leg to a hit and run driver in 1982, Joe Nolfo has dedicated his life to fund raising for personal charities and humanitarian causes. His life's work began with an unofficial world record in distance swimming to raise money for an organization that houses mentally challenged citizens, and he will be forever remembered for a highly publicized 159-day cross-country wheelchair trek in 1997.
Nolfo's efforts include various endurance tests to raise dollars and visibility for children's societies, manatee protection efforts and animal humane societies, and past sponsors include musician Jimmy Buffet.
