BMC Sponsors Participation in 2004 Canadian Grand Prix; BMC Racing Debuts Historic Car

LOS ANGELES--June 9, 2004--BMC announced today that company President and co-founder, Sean Allen, will be participating in the 2004 Grand Prix du Canada as a member of the Historic Grand Prix(R) (HGP) group and as a BMC Racing representative. Mr. Allen will be among 30 HGP members presenting vintage Formula One (FI) cars for a support race at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The three-day event will take place June 11-13, 2004.

"This is an exciting opportunity not only for myself, but for BMC," said Allen. "As a company that is willing to go the limits to accomplish client goals, we support activities with a paralleled philosophy through BMC Racing," said Allen.

Mr. Allen will be driving an historic 1980, McLaren M30 that he has restored to the authenticity and specification of its day. Four-time world champion FI driver, Alain Prost, last raced the car at the Grand Prix du Canada in 1980 where it was taken out of commission after a suspension failure ended its professional career.

"I look forward to returning the car to the field where it was last seen 24 years ago," said Allen. "As BMC grows, so will the participation and sponsorship opportunities for BMC Racing, an arm of the BMC sponsorship program. This is an exciting time!"
