'Rolling Access' Provides Greater Security While Improving Convenience and Flow

DALLAS, June 9 -- AXCESS International, Inc. (AXCESS) (BULLETIN BOARD: AXSI) , a leading provider of RFID solutions to the physical security and supply chain logistics industries, announced today it will demonstrate the ActiveTag(TM) RFID Vehicle Access Control System at Vision 2004 held in the New Orleans Superdome. Hosted by the International Parking Institute, Vision 2004 is the premiere convention for the parking industry. AXCESS will be exhibiting its unique "hands-free" system used for high-security vehicle access control, in booth #309 for the duration of the show, June 20 - 22, 2004.

AXCESS' RFID (radio frequency identification) technology is currently used by the Department of Defense at numerous military bases worldwide to provide automatic, high security access while reducing the impact increased security has on traffic entering and exiting the bases. The system features secure "rolling access" toward a security barrier, automatically identifying, and authenticating authorized vehicles and drivers bearing tamper-proof RFID tags and credentials. Hands-free, rolling access improves the convenience and traffic flow while reducing security personnel costs without compromising security. An additional option is easy integration of the active RFID system with AXCESS' digital video transmitters to supplement access control with video verification. By utilizing an existing network infrastructure (LAN/WAN/Internet), vehicle tag identification, remote monitoring of multiple properties and gate access control can be performed from a central location.
