Timken to Increase Tubing Steel Prices

CANTON, Ohio, June 8 -- The Timken Corporation announced it would increase prices on tubular steel products by 3-1/2 to 10 percent, depending on size, grade and finish of the steel. Double thermal- treated products will increase an additional 2 percent. These price increases apply to new orders received after June 14, 2004 and to existing orders promised for shipment on October 1, 2004 and after. Raw material surcharges will remain in effect.
