The Time Warner Cable Roadrunner 250
Round 3 of 16
Michel Jourdain, #9
Qualified 11th 21.346/174.047 mph
Michel Jourdain
"We closed the gap, but we still have room for improvement. This race is very long, so the most important
thing is to have a consistent car and a good car in traffic. Hopefully, we can continue to make gains and
qualify a little closer to the front."
Jeremy Dale, Team President
"I want to compliment Michel's crew because the car he's in is a brand new car and turned a wheel for the first
time today. We didn't have a chance to shake it down. The guys did an incredible job to get the car ready and
to make it a good race car. AJ and Michel finished the night here on practically an identical lap time. Listening
to Michel and talking to (engineer) Bruce (Ashmore), I can tell that they're fine tuning and that's good. They're
not that far off the mark. Michel's experience is extremely valuable here. He can very quickly assess where
the car is and that allows the team to move forward quickly as well. Unfortunately during his last new tire run,
Michel got caught up in traffic and didn't get to put a lap time down that's representative of where he is
speedwise."
