Honeywell to Acquire Genesis Cable Systems LLC; Provides the Bandwidth for Honeywell's Connected Home
SYOSSET, N.Y.--June 3, 2004--Honeywell today announced that it will acquire the remaining 70% interest of Genesis Cable Systems, LLC that it did not previously own. Genesis Cable is a leading manufacturer of low-voltage wire and cable. Terms were not disclosed, and the transaction close is conditional on regulatory and other customary approvals.Genesis Cable manufactures a full range of low-voltage cable for voice, video, data, access control, alarm and security, home theater, sound and thermostat applications. The company also is a leading provider of structured wiring for the fast-growing home networking industry.

Genesis Cable has 270 employees at its office and factory in Pleasant Prairie, WI. The organization will be part of the Honeywell Security & Custom Electronics unit, which is a leading manufacturer of professional alarm systems and structured wiring products.
