Textron Sells Interests in Two Brazilian Joint Ventures
PROVIDENCE, R.I.--June 3, 2004--As part of its ongoing effort to divest non-core assets, Textron Inc. today announced the sale of InteSys Technologies' 50 percent stake in two Brazilian-based joint ventures to its venture partner, Metegal Telecom Participacoes Ltda. Both joint venture companies provide engineered assemblies for the Brazilian telecommunications industry. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.InteSys, a division of Textron's Greenlee business unit, is a provider of plastic and metal engineered assemblies for a variety of end-markets, including the telecommunications, medical and computer/business machines industries.
