TRIMSPA Partners with Kelley Racing for the 2004 Indianapolis 500
CEDAR KNOLLS, N.J., June 2 -- TRIMSPA partnered Kelly with in-car cameras for Sarah Fisher and Scott Sharp of Kelley Racing at the 2004 Indianapolis 500. Fisher's No. 39 Bryant Heating and Cooling entry and Sharp's No. 8 Delphi entry displayed the TRIMSPA logo that has become known to America as Anna Nicole Smith's secret to becoming slim.
Rain delayed the start of the 88th running of the race until approximately 1:00 p.m. and then again after 27 laps. The event got under way for the second time at 3:30 p.m. and ran until lap 180 when rain again, stopped the event for the second and final time. Scott Sharp, driver of the No. 8 Delphi entry, drove a steady race. Coupled with a number of fast pit stops, Sharp moved from his starting position of 20th to a finishing position of 13th. Fisher, driving the No. 39 Bryant entry, also drove a steady race. Despite an interloper on her radio frequency, Fisher also drove a steady race and finished in 21st position.
"The Delphi crew did a great job," explained Sharp. "We worked on the car and the first rain really helped us. We did better than we qualified and we're just going to keep working on it."
"I'm glad that the Bryant team finished and everybody here at Kelley Racing prepared the first class equipment and they have first class people," explained Fisher. "To bring a crew in who has never worked together and to just gel like they did to produce the pit stops they did was awesome. They did an awesome job."
TRIMSPA Dream Body Models were also at the Indianapolis 500, to show their support for the race team.
"Sarah and Scott make up a great team to partner with," said Alex Goen, Founder and CEO of TRIMSPA. "I'm impressed with Sarah winning IRL's Most Popular Driver Award three times and Scott completing the most laps (3,175) of any driver during the 2003 season. They both have demonstrated success and the presence of the TRIMSPA Dream Body Models at the track made for an exciting weekend."
