SUBARU ANNOUNCES PRICING ON 2005 FORESTER, IMPREZA AND
CHERRY HILL,
N.J., June 1, 2004 – Subaru of America, Inc., the only car
company that features Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive as standard
equipment on every vehicle in its product line, today announced
the Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) for 2005 model
year Forester, Impreza and Baja
models.
Forester
Forester 2.5 XS L.L.Bean Edition
The all-new Forester 2.5 XS
L.L.Bean Edition makes its debut as a 2005
model. The 2.5 XS L.L.Bean Edition features 16-inch, 10-spoke
aluminum-alloy wheels, auto-dimming rear view compass mirror,
beige leather-trimmed upholstery with perforated bolsters and
L.L.Bean logo embossed front seats, a rear gate L.L.Bean badge,
L.L.Bean embroidered front floor mats, self-leveling rear
suspension, security system and a durable-hard cargo floor and
seatback surface unique to this model. The 2.5 XS L.L.Bean
Edition is offered with automatic transmission at an MSRP of
$26,295. The Forester 2.5 XS
L.L.Bean Edition joins three other models in the line: the
high-value 2.5 X, the premium-level 2.5 XS and the
high-performance turbocharged 2.5 XT.
Forester 2.5
X
For 2005, the 2.5 X is enhanced with Electronic Throttle
Control (ETC), an optional new direct-control four-speed
automatic transmission, 215/60 R16 raised black letter tires,
air filtration system, a new beige or gray tricot upholstery,
dual-stage deployment driver’s air bag (SRS) and illuminated
power door lock
switches. The
2.5 X is
offered at an MSRP of $21,195 for the five-speed manual
transmission and $21,995 for the four-speed automatic
transmission.
Forester
2.5 XS
The 2.5 XS
has added equipment including new eight-spoke design
16- alloy wheels and eight-way power driver’s seat. The 2.5 XS
carries an MSRP of $23,595 for the five-speed manual
transmission and $24,395 for the four-speed automatic. The 2.5 XS is also offered in a
moonroof model
and features the
added equipment for 2005 model year including new
eight-spoke design, 16-Inch alloy wheels and eight-way power
driver’s seat. The 2.5 XS with Moonroof carries an MSRP of
$24,595 for the five-speed manual and $25,395 for the
automatic.
Forester
2.5 XT
The
popular turbocharged Forester 2.5 XT returns with the
addition of the engine immobilizer ignition key
also found on the 2005 model year WRX STi. The 2.5 XT comes standard with five-speed manual transmission at an
MSRP of $25,595 and with optional four-speed automatic
transmission at an MSRP of $26,395. Also offered is the 2.5 XT
with Premium Package that carries an MSRP of
$27,295 for the five-speed manual and $28,095 for the
automatic. The Premium Package includes black leather
trimmed-upholstery and a power moonroof.
The 2005 Impreza model lineup will have new exterior
colors offered including Obsidian Black Pearl, Crystal Grey
Metallic and Regal Blue Pearl.
New two-tone color combinations will also
include: Aqua Blue Metallic
over Crystal Gray Metallic and Steel Gray Metallic over Crystal
Gray Metallic.
2.5 RS Sedan and Wagon
The 2.5 RS
Sedan is enhanced with Electronic Throttle
Control (ETC), optional new four-speed automatic transmission,
new audio face plate, new dual front and rear cup holders,
smoke tinted headlight lenses, illuminated ignition switch
ring, new metallic finish interior trim, and large single
outlet sport tailpipe. The Impreza 2.5 RS Sedan is value priced with an
MSRP of $17,995 for
the five-speed manual transmission and $18,795
for the four-speed automatic
transmission.
New for 2005 model year is the 2.5 RS Wagon. The 2.5
RS Wagon features 16-inch alloy wheels, 2.5 RS floor mats,
leather-wrapped shift knob, sport-tuned suspension, sport
design front seats, Electronic Throttle Control (ETC), optional new
four-speed automatic transmission, new audio face plate, new
dual front and rear cup holders, smoke tinted headlight lenses,
illuminated ignition switch ring, new metallic finish interior
trim, and large single outlet sport tailpipe. The 2.5 RS Wagon has an
MSRP of $17,995 for
the five-speed manual and $18,795 for the automatic.
Also new for 2005 is a 2.5 RS Sedan Sport
Package model with all the 2.5 RS equipment plus
body color ground effects, aluminum-alloy pedal covers on
five-speed manual transmission models, AM/FM 140-watt premium
stereo with six-disc in-dash CD changer and six upgraded
speakers, body color mirrors, new performance design front
seats, a Momo® leather-wrapped steering wheel, leather-wrapped
parking brake handle, sport design instrumentation and STi type
fog light insert covers. The new 2.5 RS Sport Package with
five-speed manual has an MSRP of $18,995 and the four-speed
automatic transmission MSRP is
$19,795.
WRX
The 2005 WRX
Sedan offers new 16-inch, 10-spoke alloy wheels,
automatic climate control system with air filtration, body
color ground effects and a large, single outlet sport tailpipe.
MSRP for the WRX Sedan five-speed manual is $24,795, while the
automatic is $25,795. The WRX Premium Package Sedan receives the same
enhancements as the WRX Sedan along with a power moonroof,
heated front seats, heated exterior mirrors and a trunk spoiler
at a package price of $1,500. The WRX Premium Package Sedan has
an MSRP of $26,295 for the five-speed manual and the automatic
is offered at $27,295.
The 2005 model year WRX Wagon also receives the same
enhancements as the WRX Sedan with an MSRP of $24,295 for the
five-speed manual and $25,295 for the automatic.
WRX STi
The 2005 model year WRX STi adds an AM/FM 140-watt
premium stereo with six-disc in-dash CD changer and six
upgraded speakers, power steering oil cooler, molded plastic
master ignition key, new helical limited slip front
differential, an engine immobilizer ignition key, body color
rear wheel arch protector and new 17-inch by 8-inch gold or
silver painted BBS aluminum alloy wheels. The six-speed manual
2005 WRX STi has an MSRP of
$32,195.
Outback Sport Special Edition
Also new to the 2005 Impreza lineup is the Outback Sport Special Edition. This model receives additional equipment including leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, rear spoiler, armrest extension, auto-dimming compass mirror, 260-watt premium audio system that includes an AM/FM stereo with six-disc in-dash CD changer, six upgraded speakers and a subwoofer. The Outback Sport Special Edition package is attractively priced at an MSRP of $500. The Outback Sport Special Edition model is offered at an MSRP of $19,395 for the five-speed manual and $20,195 for the automatic.
Baja
The 2005 model year Baja boasts all new exterior colors
including four monochromatic colors: Brilliant Silver Metallic,
Regal Blue Pearl, Garnet Red Pearl and Atlantic Blue Pearl; and
new two-tone color combinations: Obsidian Black Pearl over Onyx
Metallic, and Monterey Silver Metallic or Satin White Pearl
over Brilliant Silver Metallic.
Baja Sport
2005 model year Baja Sport features a 12-volt power outlet
in the console, rear seatback center net pocket and pre-wiring
for Baja Lights at an MSRP of $22,095 for the five-speed manual
and $22,895 for the automatic.
Baja Turbo
2005 Baja Turbo
featuring AM/FM 80-watt premium stereo with six-disc
in-dash CD changer and six speakers has an MSRP of $24,095 for
the five-speed manual transmission. The four-speed automatic
model is $25,095 and includes SPORTSHIFT and Variable Torque
Distribution (VTD)
Baja Turbo with Leather Package
2005 Baja Turbo
with Leather Package model with standard
automatic transmission now includes a new hard bed cover at an
MSRP of $26,995.
Destination and delivery charges are $575 for all 2005
