Spiral Turbo Specialties Added As AGT Sponsor

Wilton, CT.- The American GT Challenge has announced the addition of Spiral Turbo Specialties, manufacturers of high performance and racing exhaust baffles, to the AGT lineup of sponsors for the inaugural season. Spiral Turbo Specialties will participate in the contingency program as well as randomly give away one baffle per AGT event to an entered AGT team.

STS entered the GT1 picture two years ago at Mid-Ohio when Larry Leifert of Leifert Motorsports, and driver Jack Busch identified a problem with dB levels at some of the tracks. Leifert stated, "It's really difficult to maintain power levels, and keep the cars in the set decibel range for racing at certain tracks. Maintaining track dB levels, and keeping your concentration on driving is a real challenge. Sooner or later we all run into a track that has a high dB standard. The STS Baffle System drops the dB levels without losing power."

The owner and CEO of STS, Jim Laughlin, said, "This is a great opportunity for STS to be part of the debut for the AGT Challenge. Woodson and Todd are bringing a lot of experience and drive to put this series together. This is a fantastic opportunity, and STS is proud to be part of it. Hearing some of the drivers conversations at Mosport, there is a real excitement building for the AGT Challenge."

"We are please to welcome Jim and his company Spiral Turbo Specialties to the AGT," commented Todd Benne, Director of Operations for the AGT. "Jim expressed a desire to get involved from the ground floor. Together along with our teams and sponsors the AGT has a positive future."

Spiral Turbo Specialties, in Ohio, manufacture's eight different sizes of exhaust baffles from 2.5" Dia. to 8.0" Dia. They are used in a wide range of applications from high performance street cars, to fuel savings in the semi-trucking industry.
