Di Leo dominates Sunoco Ron Fellows Karting Championship Presented by Toronto Star Wheels Round 2

Marco Di Leo cleans up with three race wins at Cameron Motorsports Park

HAMILTON, ONTARIO - Markam based karter Marco Di Leo threw his hat into the 
championship ring in not one, but two classes at Cameron Motorsports Park 
in Hamilton, site of Round 2 of the Sunoco Ron Fellows Karting Championship 
Presented by Toronto Star Wheels this past weekend.

Di Leo set the standard by taking pole, pre-final and the final race win in 
Canada Senior Light on Saturday, then backed that up with a pole and two 
final race wins (Round 1 and 2) in RotaxMax Senior on Sunday.

"It was a pretty good weekend for us," Di Leo said on Sunday. "We were 
strong in both classes, hopefully that will continue for the rest of the year."

Saturday saw action in four Junior and one Senior classes. In the Junior 
classes, Taylor Holdaway (Canada Junior Light), William Keatings (World 
Formula Junior), Daniel Morad (Formula Junior) and Michael Vincec (RotaxMax 
Junior) all left Hamilton with wins. Morad, Keatings and Holdaway are 
undefeated in their respective classes this year.

On Sunday, two finals were run to make up for the postponed Goodwood (Round 
1) Sunday classes. In addition to Di Leo, Round wins went to Cale Meeks 
(Formula Senior Round 1) and Tyler Givogue (Formula Senior Round 2), Aaron 
de Heus (Canada Senior Heavy Rounds 1 and 2), Esteban Palacio (World 
Formula Round 1) and Adriano Bilotta (World Formula Senior Round 2)

Di Leo's day was complete when he was awarded the Round 2 GM Racing 
Winner's Circle Award, which goes to a driver judged to have displayed 
outstanding competition skills and sportsmanship. The Round 1 GM Racing 
Winner's Circle Award went to Michael Vincec.

The Pratt & Miller Team Spirit Award, which awards teams that are judged to 
exhibit the highest levels of teamwork in the areas of presentation, 
preparation and results, went to Quebec based SH Karting for Round 1 and to 
Innisfil, Ontario based CMP Motorsports in Round 2.

The series now gets ready to hit the streets of Barrie, Ontario on June 
25-27 for the Winning Colours Grand Prix of Barrie

The objective of the SRFKC is to help foster a professional environment for 
kart drivers; help create a positive attitude towards appearance, conduct 
and discipline; help foster the employment of the best practices for the 
safe and fair running of competitions; and help kart drivers to move up the 
racing ladder to automobile racing.
