2004 Total Quality Award Results [May 25, 04]

Gardena, Calif. (May 25, 2004) – Strategic Vision, Inc. announced their annual “2004 Total Quality Awards” yesterday. Infiniti tied with Mercedes as the highest scoring brands, with 898 points out of a possible 1,000. The Nissan brand scored 862, four points above the industry average of 858.

Here are the individual vehicle top scores for Nissan and Infiniti models:

· The Infiniti FX won the Near-Luxury SUV category, scoring 912 points. · The Infiniti G35 tied with the Cadillac DeVille as the top vehicles in the Near-Luxury Car category with 900 points (the G35 won this category in 2003). · The Nissan Murano tied with the Saturn Vue as the top vehicles in the mid-size SUV category with 876 points.

Calculated annually by the San Diego-based research firm, the index measures the complete ownership experience, including: delight with the ownership experience, perception of quality, future purchase intent and emotional attachment to the vehicle. The survey included roughly 40,000 October and November 2003 buyers of 2004 models after at least 90 days of ownership.
