Growth at Bendix Leads to More Than 30 New Jobs at Ohio Headquarters
ELYRIA, Ohio, May 27, 2004 -- Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC, a world leader in vehicle safety systems technology, is adding upwards of 30 experienced engineers, information technology specialists and supply chain professionals to support its growing, global commercial vehicle braking systems business.
Company officials are planning a professional career fair on June 12 at its Elyria headquarters to help identify qualified candidates.
"We're in a growth mode due to surging demand for a number of new and innovative Bendix technologies and increased volume in medium and heavy-duty truck builds," said Steve Melfi, talent acquisition leader. "At a time when a number of Midwest employers are stagnant or downsizing, we're fortunate to be in a position to expand our employee base to help foster continued global expansion."

Opportunities are available in several engineering disciplines, including advanced manufacturing, design, mechanical, product and quality, as well as in supply chain, information technology, customer service and technician roles. A college degree is a minimum qualification for all positions.
Candidates will first undergo a pre-screening process where Bendix personnel will review their qualifications. Interviews with department- specific managers or directors will follow for individuals who meet requirements for a given opening.
