Frost & Sullivan Honors Industrial Technologies Leaders

PALO ALTO, Calif.--May 2, 20046, 2004--Frost & Sullivan honored industry leaders for outstanding performance and achievements at last week's annual Excellence in Industrial Technologies Awards Banquet in Miami, Fla.

The banquet recognized companies and individuals for technological developments that are predicted to encourage significant growth in their industries and have helped to improve everyday life. The award recipients have identified emerging trends before they became the standard in the marketplace and have created advanced technologies that will catalyze industries in the near future.

John Berra, CEO of Emerson Process Management, delivered the keynote speech, titled "The Best Way to Predict the Future Is to Invent It." Mr. Berra cited the importance of vision and executing that vision to create the future. In his words, "You can't market research vision. You must know your customers' business pain, and this must be combined with technology innovation and management commitment to deliver true value to the market."

Frost & Sullivan recognized Mr. Berra with the 2004 Lifetime Achievement Award for his lasting contributions that have shaped the Process Control & Automation industry.

A Mover & Shaker Live! Interview and CEO Roundtable Discussion preceded the banquet earlier that day. Aroop Zutshi, Partner, Frost & Sullivan, interviewed Suzanne Burns, Vice President/General Manager, and Jerry Whitaker, Vice President, Power & Control Systems Operations, both of Eaton Corporation. During the CEO Roundtable Discussion, panelists answered a variety of questions focused on what it takes to succeed in a challenging economy. An open networking session followed the Roundtable Discussion that allowed all recipient companies to develop and strengthen business relationships with each other.
