Mainstreet Computers Introduces Latest GLAXIS-Enabled Software
BELLEVILLE, Mich.--May 2, 20045, 2004--Mainstreet Computers launched the latest version of its GLAXIS-enabled glass shop software, offering inventory costing by vendor, a payroll system, warranty tracking and complete electronic insurance claims management to streamline business operations.Glas-Avenue for Windows from Mainstreet is an integrated sales, accounting and inventory control system for the glass industry. The software's GLAXIS-related enhancements enable glass shops to save time and money by directly managing insurance claims online - from initiation to invoice - and getting real-time parts availability and pricing from suppliers such as PPG Auto Glass through the Glas-Avenue application, all with no telephone calls.
By using the software for electronic parts sourcing and claims processing through claims managers such as LYNX Services, glass shops eliminate administrative hassles and improve customer service and productivity for better profitability. This complete solution also generates purchase orders directly from point-of-service orders and includes automatic backup.
"Mainstreet's 7.0 version is like an eight-lane highway: it's fast, it's easy to use and it puts everything within reach," said Alan Boatwright, owner of Greenwood Glass, South Carolina. "We can quote, receive and order parts, and file insurance claims simultaneously with no need for multiple windows. Plus, GLAXIS eliminates telephone calls and saves time and money."
"The proliferation of net priced parts made it more difficult for our customers to manage vendor pricing, and they were losing profits," said David Carnahan, president, Mainstreet Computers. "We added features to link customers electronically to preferred vendors and help them manage real-time profitability on a job-by-job basis."
"Two years ago Mainstreet began providing GLAXIS connectivity to its customers," said Mike Jones, business manager, GLAXIS. "This new release is proof of their commitment to enhance the solution continuously and increase customers' profits."
