SANTA ROSA, Calif., May 25, 2004 -- Advanced technology vehicle company ZAP (BULLETIN BOARD: ZAPZ) announced today that it has hired Mrs. Yuan Wang as Manager of Information Systems. Born in China, Mrs. Wang is assisting ZAP in the creation of a Chinese-language website to expand the Company's business plan in China.
Mrs. Wang has been working with ZAP since February administrating ZAP's computer network as well as assisting in the development of a new web site for the Company. Because she is proficient in English and Chinese, ZAP CEO Steve Schneider says she will play an important role in ZAP's business plan.

"Much like our recent agreement to distribute the SMART car, with the help of Yuan and our team of Chinese advisors, ZAP is working to build partnerships with automotive manufacturers throughout China to find more new cars to sell through ZAP's auto dealer network."
In 2003, ZAP contracted for the assembly of electric cars with one of China's largest automobile manufacturers. For the past several months, ZAP has been recruiting Chinese-speaking professionals to create a team focused on Chinese business development. In March, ZAP hired Mr. Mujin "Mountain" Chen of China to help manage quality control for ZAP's Asian manufacturing. In December of 2003, Dr. CC Chan, known as the "Father of Asian Electric Vehicles," agreed to join ZAP to Chair its Advisory Board of Directors.
