ALBERTSONS TO SPONSOR PORTLAND MOTOROCK TRANS-AM SERIES RACE
DURING CHAMP CAR GRAND PRIX WEEKEND
PORTLAND, Ore (May 20, 2004) Albertsons has been named title sponsor of
Round 2 of the 2004 Motorock Trans-Am Series championship, scheduled for
June 19, during the Champ Car Grand Prix weekend at Portland International
Raceway. The race will be known as the Albertsons Trans-Am 100. The event
marks a return of the Trans-Am Series to Portland after a two-year hiatus.

The race weekend, which runs from June 18-20, also features the Bridgestone

Championship Presented by Yokohama.
The Champ Car Grand Prix of Portland, an official Portland Rose Festival
event, will mark the 21st running of Champ Cars in Portland. The weekend
schedule includes a doubleheader for the Argent Toyota Atlantic Series races
on Saturday and Sunday morning. The Champ Cars will take the green flag
