"We've come a long ways. As the week goes by, we get further along on our race setup. We're
trying to run together with our teammates and work with different people to see how our Team 7-Eleven
car will be on race day. I don't want to sound repetitive, but we're just doing race stuff all day long and
trying to find the best race package."
Tony Kanaan Facts
Kanaan will start fifth in the 88th Indianapolis 500; he has not qualified worse than fifth in three
career Indy qualifying runs.
Kanaan started second and finished third in last year's Indianapolis 500.
Kanaan enters the Indy 500 ranked second in the IndyCar Series point standings after three events,
trailing AGR teammate and Klein Tools/Jim Beam driver Dan Wheldon, 123-117.
Kim Green, President, Andretti Green Racing
"Obviously, we're hard into our race preparation program and trying to understand what to do to
get the Team 7-Eleven car comfortable at what speeds and in traffic. There wasn't a lot of traffic out there
today, but we certainly tried to at least work with our other three teammates. I think we've got some work
to do. But, hopefully we can have another good day tomorrow and put ourselves in a position to have the
total package for race day."
