Steady Orders for puraDYN Systems; Major Companies Inform puraDYN of Intention to Retrofit Fleets
BOYNTON BEACH, Fla.--May 1, 20049, 2004--puraDYN Filter Technologies Incorporated (AMEX:PFT), announced today that based on the success of preliminary installations, three major corporations in the last 60 days have confirmed their continuing participation in retrofit and new equipment programs using puraDYN(R) bypass oil filtration systems. The marine division of one of the largest tugboat and barge operators in the United States plans to retrofit its entire fleet of over 300 tugboats with puraDYN(R) bypass oil filtration systems. The company currently has 80 tugboats equipped with puraDYN(R) systems, totaling of 320 systems in service. The remaining 220 tugboats are to be fitted with four to six systems each as they are scheduled for maintenance, representing the potential for more than 1,000 systems.
The Company noted that in addition to the marine company, puraDYN is engaged in further activity with other key customers. One of the largest fruit companies in the world, which has already installed 151 systems on refrigeration units and other industrial equipment, projects the retrofitting of another 2,000 systems over the next 12 to 18 months.
Also, one of the largest producers of concrete in the United States has demonstrated increased orders of puraDYN(R) systems on their Class 7 and 8 trucks and expects to retrofit over 1,000 of these systems by the end of 2005. It is currently operating 50 pieces of equipment with the puraDYN(R) systems and the cost savings have already become the major contributing factor to moving forward."
Kroger commented, "These industry leaders have experienced first-hand that the puraDYN(R) system performs as advertised, by keeping lubricating oil continuously clean to extend oil drain intervals, resulting in substantial cost savings due to reduced oil and filter maintenance costs. They have reported, in some cases, recovering their initial cost for the system and installation in as little as three months."
Kroger continued: "The steady growth of business we are now seeing is a solid indication that more and more companies are realizing a bottom-line advantage through the use of our system. These companies send the message that bypass oil filtration is fast becoming recognized as a viable concept for any type of company that is serious about cost-savings, environmental benefits and the reduced dependence on foreign oil."
The puraDYN(R) bypass oil filtration systems work with the full flow filter to reduce solid contaminants in engine oil to below one micron with the use of its patent-pending CGP(R) filter element; to evaporate liquid and gaseous contaminants; and to replenish the base additives so as to maintain the proper total base number (TBN) and viscosity of the oil. By maintaining continuously clean oil, oil drain intervals are significantly and safely extended, reducing new oil purchases and waste oil disposal.
