Pioneer AVH-P6600DVD
The Pioneer AVH-P6600DVD multimedia audio video receiver is an all-inclusive system that includes a 6.5-inch motorized touch screen display.
Utilizing a 1440 x 234 pixels active matrix LCD display, the unit provides excellent picture quality for DVD movies, navigation and audio information. Its 6.5-inch menu-driven touch panel display responds extremely quickly and features a new graphics processor that makes the unit simpler to operate. The AVH-P6600DVD also features a ten-character sub-display that informs the user of source information even when the monitor is retracted.
The versatile built-in CD/DVD player provides playback of DVD video, CD, .mp3 and WMA files, as well as the capability to deliver CD-text and ID3/WMA tag information. For maximum flexibility, the AVH-P6600DVD incorporates RGB input for addition of navigation, AV Bus input for an optional TV tuner and/or DVD changer, composite input, back-up camera input, optical output and composite output for dual-zone functionality.
This high-performance system boasts many of the same features found in high-end home receivers including high power output with MOSFET50 (50 Watts x 4-channel) for powerful sound reproduction, variable sound adjustments with Easy EQ (3-band parametric EQ), built-in crossovers (high-pass/subwoofer) and flexible audio/video connections utilizing three pairs of pre-amp outputs (4-Volts).
The AVH-P6600DVD is available for the suggested retail price of $1600. Pioneer Premier AVX-P8DVD
The Premier AVX-P8DVD adds an entirely new dimension to an existing car audio system by offering a large 6.5-inch touch screen display, .mp3 and WMA playback and DVD video entertainment for rear-seat passengers.
The unit can be integrated with any existing system that features auxiliary audio inputs. In standalone mode, the AVX-P8DVD is a source for playing compact discs, compressed audio and DVD movies for rear-seat passengers allowing the audio to pass through auxiliary inputs. The AVX-P8DVD can also complement an already existing Pioneer stereo, especially in double DIN applications where both units can be stacked on top of each other. When the AVX-P8DVD is connected to a Pioneer headunit, the unit's touch screen can control functions of the radio through an integrated bus control (IP-Bus mode).
Much like its Pioneer AVH-P6600DVD counterpart the P8DVD is ready for add-ons such as navigation, XM Satellite Radio, TV tuner and external sources such as video games and a back up camera. An extra A/V composite output is also on hand for adding rear monitors such as Pioneer's AVD-W6200 for entertaining rear passengers, all with the touch of the screen.
The Pioneer Premier AVX-P8DVD is available for a suggested retail price of $1100.
