Turning the Corner with Stremme and Team TRIMSPA in Nazareth

Bethlehem, PA (May 18, 2004) – Team TRIMSPA driver David Stremme has had an
incredible series of ups and downs in the first third of the NASCAR Busch
Series season. Stremme has two top-five and four top-10 finishes, three top-10
qualifying efforts, and one outside pole. The stunning success of the young driver
in his first 11 races this season has been offset by four DNF’s. However,
with new crew chief Randy Cox calling the shots, Braun Racing and the TRIMSPA X32
Dodge have set their sights on consistently being a front runner and making
it back into the top 10 in Busch Series driver’s points.

“We are trying to turn this team around, but we know it is not going to
happen overnight,” said Stremme, the South Bend, IN native. “Randy (Cox) has a new
way of setting up and preparing these racecars and it will take a month or so
before the results show. So far I have believed in my heart that we had a
good shot to win at every track. This weekend a top five or top 10 would almost
be like a victory, knowing we are only two weeks into this process.”

Nazareth Speedway will host its final Busch Series race this weekend. The
unique Pennsylvania speedway, which has five or six turns depending on which
driver you ask, has been known as one of the most challenging on the circuit due
to its road course feel and elevation change. Stremme finished an impressive
sixth in his first and only race there last season.

“I finished sixth at Nazareth last year,” said Stremme. “A lot of drivers
said it was going to be a tough place to run, but it’s all the same to me as
long as it turns left. Nazareth actually felt like a small Pocono with six
corners. You really carry a lot of speed through the tunnel turn especially. It’s a
cool facility for the fans because you can see every turn from the stands,
unlike some of the places we go.”

Stremme and Team TRIMSPA have climbed back into 18th position in the points
standings and will look to continue that climb this weekend when the Busch
Series visits Nazareth Speedway for the Gould’s Pumps ITT Industries 200. The race
will be televised live Sunday, May 23rd, at 12:30 p.m. eastern time on FX and
will broadcast nationally at that same time on radio stations affiliated with
Motor Racing Network (MRN) and XM Satellite Radio Channel 144.
