Flexpoint Sensor Systems Begins Engineering Technology for Government Supplier

DRAPER, Utah--May 1, 20048, 2004--Flexpoint Sensor Systems, Inc. (Pink Sheets:FLXT) today announced they engineered and built a prototype floor mat that integrates the Bend Sensor(R) technology to analyze traffic in and out of secured locations.

Flexpoint has reached an agreement with a provider of security to government agencies to build a floor mat capable of detecting people and equipment prior to entering and leaving secured rooms and facilities. The mat is capable of detecting levels of traffic, weight, and speed of people and equipment moving over the surface. The actual location and full intentions of the mat remain classified to Flexpoint.
