Cross Country Automotive Services Launches Advanced Solutions Group; Taps Industry Veteran for Leadership
ASG to Develop and Demonstrate Next-Generation Services
BOSTON, May 18 -- Cross Country Automotive Services (Cross Country), a leading provider of integrated vehicle and driver programs, today announced the formation of Cross Country's Advanced Solutions Group. This newly established group is responsible for the development and demonstration of the Company's next-generation service offerings and solutions in strategic areas of interest, including development of telematics and location services; creating and nurturing industry partnerships; evaluating new technologies, systems, and platforms for delivery of next-generation services; and providing dedicated and focused support to "charter customers" of new services.
The creation of the Advanced Solutions Group is part of Cross Country's recent realignment along three market-facing business segments - Automotive, Insurance, and Diversified Markets. These market segments serve as the foundation for client service delivery, R&D, sales, and marketing. The market segments will work closely with the Advanced Solutions Group to ensure the development and delivery of a higher velocity of market-focused products; raising the bar for fast, accurate, and cost-effective service delivery that meets the distinct needs of Cross Country's markets.
"While innovation has always been a component of Cross Country's success, we are very pleased to increase our investment and firmly demonstrate our commitment to being the leading innovator of integrated vehicle and driver programs," said Michael Saxton, President of Cross Country. "Telematics services, location-enhanced roadside assistance, and revolutionary improvements in our service delivery infrastructure are some of the key innovations that the Advanced Solutions Group will deliver to clients throughout our market segments."
Specifically, the Advanced Solutions Group will identify and develop current and future assets including location-enabling technology, data utilization and delivery, innovative mapping, GPS technologies and new wireless technologies to meet the needs of a growing wireless society. These innovations and investments will continue to enable the company to offer the most progressive and cost-effective solutions to meet the distinct needs of Cross Country's clients and their customers, ensuring reliability and reducing the time to market. Further, by identifying market needs and pairing those needs with new advanced technologies, Cross Country's services will be available to early adopters in emerging markets.
