Multi-complex facility works around historic building and Ben Franklin
GREENWICH, Conn., May 13 -- In just five years, New Country Audi of Greenwich, Conn., has become a sales leader among the nation's Audi dealers. Now, it is poised to officially launch at 6 p.m. on May 13, a completely refurbished suite of buildings representing 41,000 square feet of sales and service space and an investment of more than $4.6 million.
Audi of America Vice President Axel Mees and other Audi executives will join Michael Cantanucci, owner of New Country Audi, to unveil the dealer's cutting edge facility and the automaker's sleek new 2005 A6 model.
"We are proud to set the standard for retail automotive excellence in Fairfield County," says Cantanucci. "Audi's innovative dealership design is inviting to our clients and the perfect backdrop to showcase its exciting lineup of restyled luxury vehicles."
Audi's "Never Follow" mantra is behind a national initiative, called the New World of Audi, to outfit dealerships with state-of-the-art service equipment and high-tech customer areas. Part of the New World of Audi is the PURE concept of an optimal customer experience: personal, unique and responsive.
At New Country Audi that means a well trained staff of more than 100, dual quattro Cafes, one each in the showroom and service area, an 18,515 square foot showroom with floor-to-ceiling windows, and a retooled 22,774 square foot service area featuring world-class equipment in 44 bays for service, detailing and alignment.
New Country Audi of Greenwich, located at 200 West Putnum Avenue, also boasts a two-story parking deck for customer convenience and, amid its new refined styling, stands New England's first post office in which Benjamin Franklin once worked.
Established in 1999, New Country Audi has a sales staff of 42, of which 18 are Audi Brand Specialists, and 83 service employees, 31 of whom are trained technicians. Last year's vehicle sales were more than 3,000 units. Mark Edens is New Country Audi's general manager.
