Aftermarket Technology Corp. Announces Appointment of Todd R. Peters as Chief Financial Officer

WESTMONT, Ill., May 12, 2004 -- Aftermarket Technology Corp. , today announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Todd R. Peters as Chief Financial Officer, succeeding Barry Kohn who has resigned, to pursue a new business opportunity.

Todd joined ATC on March 9, 2004 as the Company's Vice President, Finance. Todd was employed by TriMas Corporation from 2001-2003 where he was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to TriMas, Todd held senior leadership positions in finance and operations at Metaldyne Corporation and Dana Corporation, two leading tier-one automotive suppliers. He also spent eight years at Coopers & Lybrand, his last four as Senior Audit Manager.
