ZF Appoints Two to Executive Positions in Germany

FRIEDRICHSHAFEN, Germany, May 11, 2004 -- ZF Group appointed Dr. Wolfgang Runge to Vice President of Research and Development for Car Steering Systems at ZF Lenksysteme GmbH -- the steering technology division of ZF, which is a joint venture between ZF Friedrichshafen AG and Robert Bosch Corp.

Runge will assume joint responsibility with Dr. Rolf Bulander for running the car steering systems business unit. In addition, he will coordinate all ZF Lenksysteme development activities.

The group also appointed Dr. Harald Deiss to Runge's former position of Senior Manager Electronics within Corporate Research and Development at ZF. Deiss will remain in Friedrichshafen, while Runge will be located at the ZF Lenksysteme facilities in Schwabisch-Gmund, Germany.
