RINGERS GLOVES WEEKEND WRAP-UP
Anderson and Shoe Again; Garvey Wins at Lanier

Bristol, Tenn. – (May 3, 2004) Five Ringers Gloves drivers advanced to the
rain-delayed final round at the Fourth annual NHRA O’Reilly Thunder Valley
Nationals presented by Quaker State at Bristol Dragway on Monday.

For the second race in a row, Pro Stock saw an all KB Racing final round
with teammates Greg Anderson and Jason Line meeting again at the Tree.

Anderson went onto his fifth win of the season, defeating Line with a
6.754/203.12 mph over 6.790/202.99 mph run.

Anderson cushions his lead over Kurt Johnson by 198 points, as Line moves
up from the 11th position to third in three races.

In Funny Car, Ringers driver Whit Bazemore faced off with 12-time
champion, John Force.

Unfortunately, Bazemore went up in smoke right of the line and fell to
Force.

Force recorded his 110th career win.

Ringers pilots Clay Millican and Tony Schumacher faced off in finals in
Top Fuel.

This race marked Millican’s second final round appearance in three starts.

Millican smoked the tires off the line as Schumacher went onto 4-0 in
final round appearances.

Shoe also cushions his lead in the NHRA POWERade Championship Points by
181 markers over fellow Ringers driver, Brandon Bernstein.

In addition to NHRA action, the short-trackers of the ASA National Tour
battled at the Lanier National Speedway in Braselton, Ga.

Ringers driver Mike Garvey repeated last year’s victory at Lanier by
visiting it again on Saturday night.

Garvey crossed the line with a 2.2322-second win over Mike Cope, Casey
Smith, Brett Sontag and fellow Ringers driver, Todd Kluever.
