Detroit Diesel Corporation Announces Parts, Service & Customer Support Organization

DETROIT, May 3, 2004 -- Detroit Diesel Corporation (DDC) announced two newly-formed departments to further enhance customer support.

Jeff Wallis is named Senior Vice President - Parts, Service and Customer Support. Jeff joined Detroit Diesel in 1988 and has held positions of increasing responsibility in Aftermarket Parts Sales and Remanufacturing, including his most recent assignment as Vice President-Parts Sales and Marketing.

Reporting directly to Jeff will be a combination of existing and newly formed departments including Parts, Service, Warranty and Technical Support. These departments represent an outstanding team of professionals dedicated to meeting and exceeding the needs of DDC's customers.

Glenn Lysinger will assume the position of Chief Quality Officer (CQO). Glenn brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this position with his previous roles in technical services, reliability engineering and materials engineering, including his most recent assignment as Vice President - Customer Assurance.

The appointment of a CQO further reinforces DDC's commitment to quality improvement. Through this new organization, DDC will be able to strengthen its focus on improving manufacturing, supplier quality, product quality and reliability.
