Hyundai Sales for April Set New Record

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., May 3, 2004 -- Hyundai Motor America today announced sales of 35,045 vehicles for the month of April, which represented the best April sales in company history. The Hyundai Sonata, named the highest Quality entry in the midsize car in the coveted J.D. Power and Associates Initial Quality Study, lead sales in April followed by the Hyundai Elantra and the popular Santa Fe sport utility vehicle.

"Hyundai is pleased to see the Sonata recognized as the highest quality vehicle in its segment in initial quality," said Ed Bradley, vice president, National Sales at Hyundai Motor America. "Sonata is representative of the winning combination of high quality and high value that consumers are looking for today."

All Hyundai cars and sport utility vehicles sold in the U.S. are covered by The Hyundai Advantage, America's Best Warranty. Hyundai buyers are protected by a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty, a 5-year/60,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty, a 5-year/100,000-mile anti-perforation warranty and 5-year/unlimited-mile roadside assistance protection.
