GM and MGM MIRAGE Leaders Named Honorary Co-Chairs of the USHCC 25th Annual National Convention & Business Expo in Austin; Convention to Celebrate 25 Years of Hispanic Enterprise

WASHINGTON & AUSTIN, Texas--April 30, 2004--Gary Cowger, GM Group Vice President and President of GM North America; and J. Terrence Lanni, Chairman and CEO of MGM MIRAGE, have been named honorary co-chairs of the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) 25th Annual National Convention and Business Expo, to be held in Austin, Texas from September 15-18, 2004. This year's convention is slated to be the largest celebration in USHCC history and will highlight the impact of Hispanic entrepreneurship on our nation.

As GM Group Vice President and President of GM North America, Cowger oversees all GM operations in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. In addition, he functions as the global process leader for manufacturing. He is a member of the Automotive Strategy Board and chairman of the North America Strategy Board. Previously, Cowger served as Group Vice President in charge of GM manufacturing and labor relations since January 1, 2001; Group Vice President of Labor Relations since November 1, 1998; and Chairman and Managing Director of Adam Opel AG since June 19, 1998.

J. Terrence ("Terry") Lanni, is Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of MGM MIRAGE, one of the world's leading hotel and gaming companies headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada. Lanni also serves as Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors. Mr. Lanni joined MGM Grand, Inc. on June 1, 1995, as President & CEO and a member of the Board of Directors. In July 1995 he was named to his current position. In May 20, 200400, he oversaw the acquisition of Mirage Resorts by MGM Grand, Inc., thereby creating MGM MIRAGE.
