Utility Trailer Announces 90th Anniversary Show Trailer Road Tour
CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif.--April 29, 2004--Utility Trailer Manufacturing Company, a leading manufacturer of dry freight vans, flatbeds, refrigerated vans and Tautliner(R) curtainsided trailers which is celebrating its 90th year as America's oldest trailer manufacturer, announces the launch of its 90th Anniversary Show Trailer Road Tour.Unveiled in March at the Mid America Truck Show (MATS) in Louisville Kentucky, Utility's market leading 3000R refrigerated trailer and its new 4000D-X(TM) dry van both boast full length, customized graphics to accentuate Utility's new advertising campaign now appearing in national trucking magazines in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. The intent of the show trailers is to draw attention to Utility's heritage as the oldest trailer manufacturer in the U.S.
The show trailer graphics portray cultural events reflective of the innovation and quality that took place in 1914, the same year that Utility began building trailers. Notable for their fresh design and vibrant imagery, and using the full expanse of the 53 foot trailers as a rolling billboard, the sidewalls of the trailers feature a vivid depiction of Henry Ford's assembly line on one side and a lifelike portrayal of Babe Ruth on the other.
Enthusiastically received at MATS, the trailers will now embark on a national road tour which will take them around the country through the end of the year to visit local Utility dealers as well as a variety of truck shows. During the upcoming months the road tour will include stops at the North American Truck Show in Baltimore (end of April), the Raleigh Dealer Open House (May 3), the Utah Trucking Association in Salt Lake City (May 5, 2004-8), and the Las Vegas Truck Show (June 10-12).
"Among the enhancements we're showcasing with these show trailers is our new 'Wide Track System' which offers increased fuel economy, weight savings, and increased stability that enhance the overall performance of the trailer," said Craig Bennett. "In addition, we introduced the new 4000D-X(TM) at the show which builds upon the innovative features of the 3000D-X(R) to offer greater productivity, versatility and durability than before."
