BOSCH OFFERS CONTINGENCY BONUS TO MOTOROCK TRANS-AM COMPETITORS IN 2004




 
INDIANAPOLIS (April 29, 2004) Bosch has returned as a contingency sponsor
to the Motorock Trans-Am Series this year. Bosch will award $600 per race
for first-, second- and third-place finishers competing with Bosch spark
plugs. The company will also offer a $1,000 bonus to the highest-finishing
driver in the championship utilizing Bosch spark plugs.

The return of Bosch comes on the heels of the companyıs co-development with
Rocketsports Racing of the Series spec fuel-injection management system last
season.

³Weıve been involved in the Trans-Am Series for many years,² said Bosch
Motorsports Manager Wolfgang Hustedt. ³We like the new management this year,
and that, in large part, prompted our return. Our involvement gives us
identity with American street cars, which is very important to our business.
Bosch spark plugs, although from Germany, work in American cars, as well as
imports.
 
³Weıve also been chosen as the spec fuel management system for Trans-Am,²
added Hustedt. ³Thatıs one of our core businesses in the street-car market,
and the research and development in racing will always improve the breed.²

The Motorock Trans-Am Series features closed-fendered, production-based,
V-8-powered sports cars, competing on permanent road courses, and temporary
street and airport circuits throughout North America. The Trans-Am Series is
Americaıs oldest continuously running road racing series and celebrates its
39th anniversary in 2004.
 
Motorock is the creation of a popular culture brand that blends the
enthusiast markets of cars, stars and guitars. It is a yearly series of
destination live events that showcases the excitement of motorsports, music
and lifestyle while delivering a unique new form of broadcast entertainment
