Civic Tour Adds Special Giveaways to Complete an Already Perfect Spring Tour

If winning a customized Honda Civic seems like a long shot, not to worry, fans still have a chance to win other cool Civic Tour prizes. In addition to winning the grand prize, one of the customized Dashboard Confessional Civics, fans can also win concert tickets, meet and greet passes, Alpine AM/FM/CD car stereo head units, Apple iPods, autographed guitars, exclusive live music downloads, crew rides and a Civic Tour concert travel package for two.
A total of 11 customized Civics, complete with unique, airbrushed paint jobs, specialized interiors, performance tires and an Alpine audio/visual system, will be awarded through various media promotions. Fans can win one customized Civic through civictour.com when they submit an entry from May 13 to August 31. Another will be given away on-air to one lucky MTV/MTV2 viewer (details to be announced shortly). This year, Civic Tour has also teamed up with music television station FUSE, which will run a national contest for a Civic giveaway (details to be announced shortly). The remaining Civics will be awarded through various radio promotions including KROQ in Los Angeles, K-Rock (WXRX) in New York, WBCN in Boston, WHFS in Washington D.C. and Live-105 (KITS) in San Francisco.
For the first time in its four year history, Civic Tour is offering fans the opportunity to download music exclusively from the official civictour.com website, free of charge. Fans will be able to download up to three recently recorded live tracks from various Dashboard Confessional shows just by logging onto civictour.com. These three live tracks are exclusive to civictour.com. There will not be any special passwords, download charges or secret login information, but it will be limited to the first 500,000 downloads. The downloading will launch in conjunction with civictour.com on May 13, 2004 and the songs will be available for download and play on all popular operating systems.
