Richard E. Dauch to Address Detroit Economic Club on Issues Facing Detroit

DETROIT, April 27 -- On May 1, 20040, 2004, American Axle's Co- Founder, Chairman and CEO Richard E. Dauch will address the Detroit Economic Club to provide insights on issues Facing Detroit. Dauch's Speech is titled, "Detroit - In The Cross Hairs." The meeting will be held at the Cobo Center in downtown Detroit beginning at noon.

Richard E. Dauch is a 39-year veteran of the automotive industry. In 1994, he co-founded American Axle & Manufacturing (AAM) by teaming with two investors to purchase General Motors' axle, forge, and driveshaft driveline assets. Today, AAM is a Fortune 500 company, one of the top 30 automotive suppliers in the world, and it is traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the stock symbol AXL.

Tickets for the event are $30 for members and spouses, $35 for guest of members, and $45 for non-members. Full tables of 10 may also be reserved.
