Continuing the Legend: Annual Dale Earnhardt Day Set for
April 29th
Championship-Style Celebration Planned for Racing Legend's Birthday
** SAVE THE DATE **
What: The third annual Dale Earnhardt Day will be on Thursday,
April 29th - Dale's birthday - to celebrate the seven-time NASCAR
champion's life and achievements. This year's festivities will
honor Dale's 34 trips to Victory Lane and his legacy at Daytona
International Speedway.
The day-long celebration will allow fans access to exhibits and
areas of the Dale Earnhardt Inc. (DEI) headquarters not usually
open to the public. Included will be Dale's Daytona 500 trophy
from 1998, which will be on display for the first time ever, as
well as his autographed helmet and other items from that historic
race. The Harley J. Earl trophy listing the names of all Daytona
500 winners will also be on view, courtesy of Daytona International
Speedway. There will be several cars on display including Dale
Earnhardt's 1994 GM Goodwrench Chevy Lumina and 2000 Firebird and
Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s #8 Budweiser Chevrolet Daytona 500 winning
showcar.
In addition to other activities, the Dale Earnhardt Foundation will
announce a special philanthropic partnership program with American
Forests, which will honor Dale's longstanding commitment to
environmental protection and restoration of forest ecosystems.
When: Thursday, April 29, 2004, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Where: Dale Earnhardt Inc. Corporate Headquarters, 1675 Dale Earnhardt
