AGT ADDS TOUGH BREAK AWARD PRESENTED by newGMparts.com
Wilton, CT- The American GT Road Racing Association announces today the Tough Break Award sponsored by www.newGMparts.com. The program will provide $750 dollars cash per event, to be paid to the competitor who suffers the most, due to an untimely mechanical failure. NewGMparts.com is a wholesale distributor for the retail shopper for all GM genuine replacement parts and accessories. The company provides over 360,000 original GM parts, delivered to the customer’s doorstep, for less than wholesale.
"Administration of the program is going to be challenging as it may be subjective at times commented," Todd Benne, Director of Race Operations for the American GT Challenge. "However the program continues our philosophy of supporting all competitors by distributing prize money throughout the field. If it gets too difficult to decide who suffers the most we will divide the money or select by a random drawing."
"Rest assured this like every program we have will be administered fairly. We want each competitor who races with us to have a chance of participating in the cash awards," stated Benne. Additional support throughout the field is provided by Goodyear, who awards a set of race tires at each event through a random drawing open to each competitor.

The American GT Challenge uses purpose built tube frame chassis cars, power by a V-8 & V-6 engine, with composite bodies, replicating series produced American touring or grand touring cars competing exclusively on Goodyear Racing Tires. For more information visit www.americangt.com.
The American GT Challenge’s next stop is at Mosport International Raceway May 23rd, in Bowmanville, Ontario Canada.
