Mustang Mania Hits San Diego
WHAT:
A rare sighting of the all-new 2005 Ford Mustang highlights the San Diego stop of the 10,000-mile, round-the-country, Great American Pony Tour II, Wednesday and Thursday, April 28-29. View 40 years of automotive history "on the hoof" from club members' 1965 Mustangs to the all-new 2005 model.
-- 50 Classic Mustangs traveling with the Tour will arrive Wednesday afternoon en masse (approx. 5 p.m.) at the San Diego Aerospace Museum, where they will join local Mustang owners in a car show.
-- The Pony Stampede will also visit the Naval Air Station North Island base from 12 - 2 p.m. on Thursday to give Navy personnel their first look at this U.S. icon.
-- This grassroots tour celebrates the 40th anniversary celebration of Ford Mustang, America's original pony car and a cultural icon.
-- Pony Tour participants include Mustang fanatics from all over America, Great Britain, New Zealand and Australia.
