MARK GUNDRUM JOINS ARCA STAFF

TOLEDO OH (4-25-04) ARCA officials announced today the addition of Mark Gundrum to the administrative staff of the sanctioning body.

Gundrum, 41, will join the full time staff in ARCA's home office, overseeing the integration of the company's Sales, Marketing and Public Relations departments.

"I am extremely excited to have the opportunity to join the ARCA staff," said Gundrum. "As a fan for more than 25 years, I've followed the ARCA RE/MAX Series very closely the past 10 years. It's a great organization, rich in history, and I look forward to being a part of their future."

Prior to joining the ARCA staff, Gundrum was with ASA from 1995-2004, serving most recently as Executive Vice President. Prior to that, the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater graduate was general manager of Slinger Super Speedway and Madison Int'l Speedway in Wisconsin from 1989-1995.

"Mark Gundrum is well respected in our industry, and matches up well with our future initiatives," said ARCA President Ron Drager. "Mark has a good understanding of ARCA's motorsports industry position and brings a wealth of valuable experience and capabilities to our company."

ARCA, founded in 1953, has 85 motorsports events on its 2004-sanctioned event schedule. Among those racing activities are the ARCA RE/MAX Series, ARCA Lincoln Welders Truck Series, Flat Rock Speedway in Michigan and Toledo Speedway in Ohio.
